Getting there

For our Malaysian guests:

The wedding event will be held at Tanarimba, near Janda Baik & Bukit Tinggi.

You have the option of making your own way there or taking the coach from Mont Kiara on Thursday, 12th of February. The return coach will be on Sunday, 15th of February.

There will be parking available at the resort.

If you would like to take the coach, please specify this on your RSVP form.

For our guests traveling from elsewhere:

✈️ Flights to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

For those traveling from within Asia:

There are many budget airlines that fly into both KLIA and KLIA 2, or check if there are options to fly into Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang, as this is closer to KL.

Buses are also an option if traveling from Singapore.

For those traveling from the UK:

There are direct flights from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (approx 12 hour fly time).

Alternatively, there are many airlines that do a stopover in the middle east (Qatar, Dubai, UAE) if you prefer to break up the journey into two 7 hour flights.

An average return flight from the UK would cost between £650 and £750.
We’ll be sharing some options here soon!

If making a bigger trip out of your travels halfway across the world, you could compare return flight costs to other nearby South East Asian countries such as Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia. There are many short haul flights by budget airlines you can then take to Kuala Lumpur.

If it suits you, arriving a few days prior to the 12th Feb would give you time to get over the jetlag!

🧳 Entering Malaysia

  1. Please check if you require a visa to enter Malaysia (British nationals do not need a visa).

  2. Please complete a digital arrival card prior to your arrival (to be shown upon arrival at the airport).
    * Singaporeans need not complete this card

**IMPORTANT** There is no charge to complete this arrival card. Some online agencies charge a fee to complete this on your behalf - do not do this as it’s a very easy thing to do yourself online.

    Just follow the link above.

🚗 Getting Around in Malaysia

From the airport to KL city:
Grab is a version of Uber that works the same way.

We’d suggest downloading the Grab app prior to arriving in Malaysia as this would be the easiest way to travel from the airport to KL. If there is a large group arriving at the same time, we can organise transport for the group beforehand.

Getting around in KL:
Similarly, the quickest and easiest way to get around KL is via Grab. Public transport is available but not very efficient. This does mean needing roaming / data on your phone.

🚌 Getting to the Wedding Venue

The wedding event will take place in a location approximately 45 minutes out of Kuala Lumpur city.

For those without a car, we will provide a coach to take guests there (on 12th Feb) and back (on 15th Feb).
A pick up and drop off location is shown on the Wedding page.

See the Accommodation page for recommendations on where to stay in KL.

⏱️ Time Difference & Jet Lag

Malaysia is 8 hours ahead of the UK (time zone GMT +8) in February.

If time permits, we would suggest arriving a couple of days before the wedding events begin to get over the jet lag and to maximise your enjoyment of the festivities!
